About Us

Country Hill Farm is located in Westminster, Maryland, convenient to Hampstead, Manchester, Reisterstown, and Hanover, Pa. The farm is owned and operated by Marsha B. Herbert, along with Jimmy Coles, and Jessica and Dan Schindler. Marsha is a Hunter instructor with over 25 years experience at local and rated shows. We strive for excellent care of our horses and dedication to the horse and rider to become a competitive team to compete at the local and rated horse shows.

Beverly Abbott, from Taneytown, Md., a long time friend of the family is the show secretary for the schooling and rated shows. Alan Lohman , from Poolesville, Md, is the course designer for the rated shows held at the farm.

Our weekend instructors are Dee Dee Dougherty and Glenda Player. Dee Dee and Glenda are both graduate “B” pony club clubbers. Both instructors have had extensive show jumping experience and competed in Lexington, Kentucky. They keep up to date with all of the latest educational needs of our horses and riders.
